Already using AI assistants or automation tools to manage your admin? We’re working on two ways to connect them to Neno.

Both are in the final stages of development, with a release planned in the coming weeks.

• MCP connects your AI assistant to Neno. Ask “Why did I spend so much on software this month?” and get an answer based on your Neno data. Your assistant can also find transactions without a booked bill, read and reply to accountant tasks, submit bills and retrieve management reports.

• Our API lets you connect your own software to Neno using an API key, with endpoints for invoices, bills, expenses and customers.

You can now try the Neno mobile app as part of a limited beta. Check your balances and transactions, view your connected bank accounts, reply to your accountant’s tasks and messages, upload documents and manage your Swan cards, all from your phone.

Here’s what’s new:

• Recurring invoices: see the next scheduled invoice alongside those you’ve already sent. Manage each invoice series, set an end date or a maximum number of invoices, and update prices for future invoices. Invoices you’ve already sent stay as they are.

• Quotes: your customers can accept or decline a quote through a link in the email. When they accept, we record their name and email address, update the quote and let you know.

• Invoice tracking and reminders: keep track of sent, overdue, paid and cancelled invoices. Send reminders for overdue invoices directly from Neno, and edit the message before you send it.

• Multiple currencies: create invoices in EUR, USD or GBP, and set a preferred currency for each customer.

Need to send a missing receipt or explain a transaction? Your accountant can now ask you directly in Neno, with each request linked to the relevant transaction or bill.

Upload a file or reply in the task thread. Your conversation and documents stay with the transaction, so you can find everything in one place.

Using payroll data from Nmbrs, it suggests which bank payments belong to wages, payroll tax and pension contributions, and which period they cover. Our accountants review and approve the suggestions.

It also picks up payroll corrections from Nmbrs, including changes that apply to several previous months.

You can now connect accounts from supported banks to see your balances and transactions in Neno.

Transactions from your connected accounts flow into your bookkeeping, ready to be matched with bills and invoices. You can check them in one place, without switching between banking apps. External accounts are read-only.

You can now Send a photo of a receipt or bill to Neno via WhatsApp, and our AI agent will extract the details and file it to your account.

The WhatsApp agent understands context, remembers your conversation, and can answer questions about your uploaded documents. It's the fastest way to get a bill into your books.

What's changed

The Neno application has a new look and feel. We've redesigned our customer interfaces to deliver an experience that matches the high bar we set at Neno. The transactions, transfers and account pages have been redesigned with a cleaner layout, better information hierarchy, and improved navigation.

Why it matters

Maintaining velocity has been a conscious choice over the first few months of being live with our product. With more and more customers using the platform, this redesign is a first step towards elevating the experience for the people that matter. Moving forward, the team is delivering a new UI kit and style guide to ensure that we can continue to ship quality features quickly.

Choose from multiple invoice templates, upload your company logo, and customise the look of every invoice you send. We've also added example copy for terms and conditions so you're not starting from a blank page. Every invoice includes a payment link, from which your customer and copy important invoice information directly into their payment app.

Invoices are also now connected to your business identity. Sender details – company name, address, and bank account – are pulled automatically from your billing entity. If you run more than one business through Neno, you can manage multiple billing entities and choose which one appears on each invoice.
